Eibach Pro Kit Plus feedback?
Ok....even though I don't have my car yet I just might pull the trigger on the Eibach kit becaue the price is so hard to beat. $450 delivered.
For those of you who have the Eibach springs/sways can you give me any honest feedback...especially if you have even the slightest negative. I saw where a comptetior showed the Eibach spring really compressed and one even said that they had seen them fall out of their perch. I'm kinda thinking this is more of a scare tactic because the others aren't coming even close to the price. Now...mine will be a daily driver and I don't plan on doing anything more than the occassional run at the dragstrip. I'm sure the more expensive ones would be better ultimately but I'm thinking that for what I need and the price they'll be just fine. I'm doing the springs more for looks than anything. I've never upgraded sways on my cars but since they are so cheap and everyone says they greatly improve the performance I'm going to do it this time. Did the ride get rougher? Any issues with bottoming out or having the springs come off their perch or anything similar? Any regrets on not spending the extra money with a competitor? BTW: does anyone know if the Eibach sway bars are hollow? I'm assuming they probably are since they are so cheap.

I just got my car back from the shop after they installed my Eibach Pro Kit and I'll tell you, I couldn't be more happier. I walked up to the shop and the car was sitting there waiting to be aligned and due to the drop, I asked myself "ah crap, how bad did I screw up this car" I was really afraid that the ride would be to harsh but let me tell you, it drive's just about as plush as it did stock, just a whole lot better. It rides much more stable, responsive tight and flat. I have scraped a couple times on a fairly steep driveway but it was more because I wasn't aware just how low it was.
I am real happy with the results. I was originaly going to go with Pdaft set up but because I also found them for just over 400 bucks, compared to twice that for the Pdaft, I went with Eibach. Another reason I went with the Eibach Pro Kit was because it was model specific. All the other manufactures offer the same kit for both the V8 and V6, while eibach has a specific kit for each model. |

I have had the Eibach springs installed for about 4 months now and have no complaints.....Great price, handles good, gets rid of that huge well gap.Only 1" does make a very noticeable difference in appearance.

What are you guys talking about? 400.00 to your door?
That's not springs AND sway bars. Pfadt springs go for 299.00 Eibach goes for 293.00 according to their site. I got Pfadt springs AND sways for 730.00 How is it you think that's double the cost? |

So for the folks that have installed the Pro-plus kit....can you really tell the difference between a 0.90 and a 0.92 on the skid pad difference as stated on the Eibach website? I think it would be hard to feel that difference in sways...but really wonder if that really didn't come from the springs by sitting the car 1" lower...hence moving CG down one inch too.... Just thinking that the factory sways may be pretty fair compared to Eibach's.... Thoughts?

Not sure what the skid pad was for the Pfadt kit but I went with them basically for the support and feedback.
I was able to call them and they spent time with me on the phone. They were absolutely helpful in every way. Never heard of tech support for cars. lol Plus 'PfadtRacing', here on the boards took the time to help me out. And Brandon from IPS was very helpful too. |
