TBD...GM still needs to sell cars to make money and they have demand for the Camaro, sunk costs for production and are close to rolling them out. Let's hope they can stick with it.

it comes down to if the White house actually comes through and lets paulson give part of the 700 billion dollars to the big 3. hopefully they make the right call.

If GM goes under, getting the Camaro is probably the least of your worries. You job, your retirement savings, everything will pretty much be gone.

Let's not panic guys. This is not armageddon. Assuming GM does go chapter 11, I believe congress will be more willing to bailout (yes it would be a bailout at that point) the B3 and with more money than now. UAW would have no choice but accept whatever comes post chapter 11.

Cmon. I don't have a crystal ball nor any insight but, GM is not the one responsible to get you your deposit back. The dealers are privately owned companies. They will be obligated to return your deposit to you. Not GM. As far as the Camaro being made goes? Even if they go bankrupt (Chap 11) the judge will probably order GM to continue to produce and deliver the Camaro in order to help GM pay off debt. So, it is very reasonable to expect the Camaro to hit the streets.

Please, easy on the sky is falling stuff.

Have to accept whatever comes? I have doubts that the UAW will be a viable entity post chapter 11. GM goes, the other two will probably follow and then UAW has 0 income and a lot of angry lawsuits to fight.
