How do I get a HP boost?
Basically what the titles says. I'm a new V6 owner and I don't know too much about the guts of cars. I tend to get lost when people type really techy on here lol. I want to know how can I boost the HP on my V6 and feel a noticeable difference without having to change the engine or using forced induction. What do I have to do to add 40-50 horses?

headers back exhaust, cold air intake, tune.....least intrusive mods to the engine physically, the tuner is going to get into the brain, but you can always detune it later, and put the stock exhaust and airbox later if that's your concern.

right now 40 or 50 HP, even at the crank is a bit daunting... Right now it seems to be only a few HP here and there... most gains seem to be in the mid-RPM range (5400 RPM seems to the place!) and not at peak... seems like there is very little peak gains...

Has any place come out with a really good V6 tune yet? As far as I knew we were still waiting for Lingenfelter since they're doing it as part of their supercharger kit development.

no, you can't just go to any auto shop and expect them to be able to tune it. Different tuners use different products to get the job done. I just happen to be a fan of the diablo/predator tuner with my magnum, plan on using it for the camaro too. hope to see it soon!
oh yeah, and then you did buy a predator tuner, there are certain guys that are "certified" diablo tuners around the country, got to find them and get some dyno time if you want a truley tweaked tune, otherwise they get you to data log with your predator tuner, they review the emailed file you pull from the tuner and send them, they adjust the tune based on a/f ratios and knock detection, and send it back to you to upload to your car. Not the best way to tune, but should be a way to get you a safe tune that is probably a improvement over a stock tune

typical thought is a wet shot is safe for up to 100hp....don't spray dry

I was in the shop yesterday and the guy told me the same exact thing about nitro being very cheap and powerful but I just don't trust it. Seems like too many things can go wrong. What is a "wet shot" and a "dry shot"?
