Maybe, maybe not, the NSX is a little quicker in 0-60 and 1/4 mile times than the Corvette ZO6 if you want to use Car & Driver as a measuring stick. But at more than $150,000 compared to the ZO6`s $80,000 it`s priced out of the every mans price range or at least my willingness to pay that much.

Just a little quicker for twice the price. However I can not see GM not working something electric for the Corvette. The rumor Zora if true will be very competitive.

Ya you could buy two ZO6 or close to three entry level Corvette`s for the price of one NSX. I would really like to see a mid-engine Vette but but not at the expense of a price increase which I`m only guessing is probably why they never went though with the mid-engine Corvette Indy Concept in "86". But if Chevrolet can do it without a huge price increase then do it. An all wheel drive, front engine Vette would probably be the cheaper way to go and not cost nearly as much to re-engineer as a mid-engine. Just a guess at cost, I have no idea what it would cost to make it happen.

I was really excited about this car because of all the tech. It seems like they executed very poorly. How disappointing.

This car is the apex of an automotive technology bundle, but the very opposite of why the Z/28 was one of the Evo selected best cars. You can like both cars, but if you do you have to like apples and oranges. For me, my ear is tuned to a V8 or V12. And if the steering is totally numb, what's the point of driving at all? Just hit the Playstation and drive your screen car.

It will be interesting to see how well it sells. The original, one of MOTOR TRENDS first "best drivers car" winners only sold ~8900 in 15 years! That's less than 600 sold a year. The speculation was that even though it was a great car it suffered from a bit of a supercar identity crisis: i.e. The country club set types that drive and can afford these cars are impressed if someones says they drive a Ferrari or a Lamborghini, "I drive an Acura" just didn't impress wealthy people and they think that effected sales.
Think there is a similar phenomenon with the Lexus LFA, two years after production ceased and they still couldn't sell them.
