Thinking to buy 2012 Camaro SS
I've been looking in the site for a big while, and i have decided to give the CAmaro a try, i'll be going to see one today at the dealer, auto, 25k miles, i understand the engine is a L99 as opposed to the LS3 ?
Any issues with the AFM lifters in the new Camaros ? i had a 2009 Pontiac G8 GT, and the AFM lifters were notorious for breaking back then, though my lifters made to 80k miles without any problems. What are the most common problems in this vehicles besides the AFM if any ? What's about gearing ? i bought a 2010 Silverado not too long ago, and little did i know about the damn gearing and towing rating in the trucks, so i took home a full crew cab truck with a 5.3L engine that can only tow 6800lbs, damn it, my G8 had 2.92's, and i wish it had a little bit more gear, what's the gearing on the Auto Camaros ? I can also tune the engine and trans with HPtuners, what's the expected performance of a tune only Camaro SS ?
