So my friend has a challenger....
He has an automatic 2014 Challenger SXT while I have a standard 2014 2LT Camaro (both black, we have some nice photos together). Yesterday we decided to go wash our cars together and then take eachother for a ride. I went first and he was blown away by how "race car-y" it felt, how loud it was, and how much he was pushed into the seat when I gunned it. Then it was his turn, and even though i think Challengers are beautiful classic muscle cars, the Camaro just has more umph and more awe. Way more fun to drive in a Camaro. Maybe its the horsepower, maybe its the standard transmission, who knows, but I am so happy I didn't get a Challenger :P

The challenger is a HEAVY car. my brother can keep up with our friends challenger in his 03 hyundai Tiburon v6. The challenger makes way more HP than the Tiburon, but the Tiburon is also way lighter.

I actually like the way Challengers look, but yeah, the V6 cars (and even some of the V8's..) feel pretty heavy and slow. Someone has to be the slowest of the pack, and the Challenger seems to happily occupy that spot at least in the V6 world.

Challengers look ok, but they are getting long in the tooth for me.

The 2015 Challenger looks very good. New dash and center console, plus new front end and rear end. A definite design winner.

Ha ha! I'm in the same boat. I have a buddy with a sweet, redline red R/T automatic. I respect him to death and I love the car...but there is just no way he'll beat my SS unless I completely foul up shifting. Once I even conceeded, "Yes, it is possible you'll win...if you put a Camaro under your hood." As I heard once before on this site... "If you want the girls, buy Mustang. If you want to go loner style, buy the Chally. If you want to win the races, buy Camaro." |

Unless cops where you are drive challengers I believe you have them confused with chargers.

The only way I'd get one is if it was an SRT-8. The thing is a pig and the 5.7L doesn't have enough power to make it move. Don't even get me started on the V6 (try riding a bicycle with a dozen cinder blocks dragging behind you).

The Challengers curb weight is only about 100 more than the Camaro
