Take the vtc off. All it does is increase signal strength from the throttle pedal to the throttle sensor telling it that when you have the pedal half way down that it should be floored. Take it off and you'll get the mpg back.

So the VTC is the cause of me having lower mpg? I had the VTC for like 8 months with problems and the MPG last week was like 17.
thanks for the feedback too.

Did you fill up at a different gas station than usual? Change grades maybe? Focus on what is different this week than last week first. Did you work in the engine compartment and knock a hose loose ? Did the temperature drop more than 10 degrees on average.

Yep probably the throttle controller or your driving habits. On my V6 I get 17-18 city if I drive carefully, only 14-15 if I don't. Freeway I'll get 26 flooring it or 30 carefully. If I'm extremely careful I'll get 33 but depends on driving conditions

I also get terrible gas with 87 for whatever reason, but I thought the LFX was supposed to be flex fuel so that probably has something to do with it

They have been known to cause issues so I think it couldn't hurt to try it for a week with the controller off. Maybe two weeks to adjust to the pedal being normal again.

Did you do more driving in the city or in traffic? That will cause the mpg to drop considerably as well as excessive idling. As another person mentioned check for any hoses that were knocked off or maybe a connection to something is loose. Also check your air filter if you have an aftermarket intake. With my intake I clean it every oil change (vararam Otr intake, catches lots of bugs and dirt).

That's right about what my wife is getting with hers, driving it like it should be.

When I am on the phone with her I always hear a Roarrrrrr from the NPP and I am like what was that, she always replies, someone that needed passing!

I drive mine like I stole it (and being chased by the law) and still get 17.0 mpg with my set up. You definitely have something wrong. I'd be surprised if it wasn't the THC. Did you get a tune as well?

When do they change over to winter blend where you are? That might be the cause.
