That won’t do much of anything other than drain your wallet. Best it will do is make good 91 octane 91.2 octane. If you need more octane then you need to use a race fuel concentrate if you need to use an additive. That will actually raise the octane level. It runs about 35 bucks a bottle

The manufacturer's claim about its rating boost is 20 points, that is, 91 to 93, so if it works, it isn't useless. According to the specs, it appears to contain MMT, which means it isn't snake oil but also that a bit of research into disadvantages is worth doing before committing to its regular use.

Please read the manufacturers label, you're quite wrong on that.

Why would anyone buy a 12 pack for $64 when you can get 12 1 packs for $32???

Negatory Ghost Rider..... You'll need to dump in ten or 20 cans to do that. I forget the exact math but long ago figured its not worth it.

I’m reading it the same way too.

10 points is *supposed* to be 1 number, but treat these all with a healthy dose of skepticism IMO.

MMT is not snake oil, it turns everything a cool orange rust color and has the possibility of destroying your cats.

Id rather run something like boostane or torco. Torco also contains MMT. Doing a header change on my 5th gen, valves and inside the exhaust was orange.

Because they don't teach math anymore

You don't need to tell me, I simply responded to OP Seems you already did some of the research I talked about for him

To be completely transparent, in the past I did use Race-Gas (same as Torco, basically) once or twice at the drag strip in 100+ degree temps to bump my 93 up a few points and get a better ET, but these days I'm just using ethanol.

I see bundles like that on Amazon all of the time. It's hilarious.

Not use for "octane booster", but last year I started using Lucas Fuel Treatment in every tank on my other vehicles (Accord, Camry, Ranger). I bought a gallon then filled up small bottles to use when filling up with 87. The Accord has the best fuel economy tracking system in any of my vehicles and I saw immediate improvement of 4-5MPG that settled out to 2-3MPG that has been sustained, which is the same improvement I see when going from 87 to 91 or 93 in those vehicles. The initial bump was likely due to actual cleaning of a 214k mi. fuel system. The other vehicles have seen improvements as well, but tracking is harder since it's manual.

For my SS, there is a new BP with 93 non-ethanol that I used for my first fill-up. I plan on using Trip B for fuel econ tracking. Not as useful as what my Accord does but I didn't buy the Camaro for fuel economy either. I pay attention to usage in my daily because it is useful information for the health of both the engine, drivetrain, and suspension. Sustained drops are the sign of a problem. Of course, a lot of stuff has to be factored in and one tank of info isn't useful.
