2015 ZL1 Convertible - Manual

Not my car, but my dad's, picking up here in the next couple days. We were wondering on its rarity. I see there is fewer 2015 Soft Tops made and i have seen the section here that shows the numbers but I can't really find anything that narrows down 2015 ZL1s convertibles made auto vs manual.

Up here in Canada this is the only one we found for sale, some 13s and 14s but not any 15s. Car has around 30k km or about 18.6k miles. Grey on black, heads up display and nav not sure about any other options.

Will upload pics and more info when we pick it up.

Sounds like you've got a rare one on your hands. the 2015 convertible Z's are hard to come by.

I myself have a 2014 that I'll be holding onto, first year color and low production number on my Red Rock Metallic. Plus it's a 6 speed Manual!

I love these cars since they offer a convertible top, 6 speed manual and supercharged LSA all the with modern tech but not too much to be intrusive. Did I say MAG Ride?! They won't make cars like these anymore, and the prices keep going up.

For 2014 there were 541 ZL1 convertibles and there is breakdown for the colors but not transmissions. For 2015 there were 289 ZL1 convertibles but with no break down of colors or transmissions. ZL1 registry is a great tool but it seems hard to create a complete data base. You could check through the individual registry listings and count but you'll have to click on the individual listings for the information on where they are located.

Here's my 1 of 36 Red Rock Metallic 2014 ZL1 Convertible with a 6 speed!

That red definitely makes the car pop, love that convo! I didnt know that magnaride was standard on the ZL1.

It seems like this is probably a rare car! I work car business for 10 years have yet to see a soft top ZL1. Most cars are coupes and auto over here.

Ill get pics and more info on the car this weekend, so far I know the car has nav and Heads up. It also has the carbon fiber hood which I was told is a rare piece.

The exposed carbon fiber hood insert was a $600 option over a standard black painted carbon fiber hood insert.
That same $600 option part (last time I checked) still runs about $3,000.00 at your local Chevy dealership.

Even here in the Detroit area, over the last 10 years, aside from car shows or the typical Cars & Coffee events, I have seen a total of 3 (THREE) 5th gen ZL1 convertibles on the road.

Wow didnt know that was a rare piece let alone on a soft top, we definitely found a low mileage clean car that is somewhat rare. We did not buy it to appreciate in value or collect, car will be driven and enjoyed but is always good to know it might be a future collectible.

Completely agree on the rarity. I have a 1 of 36 Red Rock Convertible but like previously posted I have NEVER seen another convertible 5th gen Z in real life other than my own.

That carbon fiber piece is a great score, even broken ones are being sold on eBay for $2500+.

Another item that is challenging to find can be the Polished Aluminum Wheels option. My car came from the factory with the black standard ZL1 wheels, however I've got a set of Polished Aluminums that I use as my summer wheels. I bought them off another owner but trying to find a good complete set is getting harder since they don't produce them any more.

Post up some pictures when you get the chance, dying to see it!
