Question How to jump another car

My friend just called me, he said he got pulled over and pulled into a parking lot when the cop left he went to start his car but the battery died, can I jump it like a normal car, just unsure because of the battery being in the trunk and the positive terminal under the hood need a quick reply thanks

Why not? Is your owners manual in the glove box? Does it have any special instructions? If not, I would just hook the red cable to the positive terminal under the hood and the negative cable to a grounded location under the hood. Should work.

Success I just hooked up the cables to the battery in the trunk as if it were under the hood and it worked fine, just wasnt sure if it would mess anything with the computer or something, I don't know, anyway it work fine.

You could have just used the jump points under the hood as well....the positive terminal and then just attach the negative to any good/non painted bare metal...like the grounding strap on the front of the engine

There is also a ground terminal under the hood. It's on the left side just aft of the air box.

I guess you did it the hard way, whatever, it works too and you got to acquaint yourself with the battery.

I've never even looked at mine.
