Winter Storage

Just wandering what everyone's opinion is on adding a fuel stabilizer to the gas for winter storage? We all know the downfalls of storing anything using fuel with 10% ethanol added. I plan to store my ZL1 for the winter with about a quarter of a tank of fuel, and add the "Stabil" product formula for fuels with ethanol added, and for marine use. I think the "marine use" means it is designed for longer periods of storage.

What do you think?

I used the marine formula the last two winters and you always want the tank full to help prevent condensation. I store the Camaro and an 87 K10 pickup for 6 months with no problems with the fuel.

Is your storage heated? If no then add some seafoam to the tank and fill it. If yes (heated) then just fill the tank. Gas attacts moisture so a full tank is less likely to let moisture in. I have used this method for years in heated and non heated garages with no issues.

Full tank and stabil here too. And I roll it 12" or so every few weeks to prevent flat spots on the tires, but my garage is heated. Unheated, pull the tires off if it can get below 0.

Fill it up no stabil unless your storing it for longer than 9 months.

Fill the tank, change the oil, add stabil over fill the tires by 10-15psi hook up the battery tender and leave it. Don't start it unless you plan on driving it a good distance.

Winter storage????? Must be an up north thing. I was just gonna change out the tires. I didn't buy it to be a hangar queen. My personal opinion of course.

PA here also.

I am right here with you. OnStar sent me a paper saying my trial period was up next month and there going to start charging me. I called them and said no way the car will be parked until may. The salt and rocks here tear cars up. There is also the thing that the car cant get out of the driveway. I built a garage for the zl1 after having the 2010 2ss outside for three years.
