Blocking auxiliary transmission cooler

Does anyone have any experience blocking the aux transmission cooler with a splitter? I realize there are splitter designs with large holes in them, but I’d like to avoid that. I plan to allow some air egress at the trailing edge, which may be enough to keep temps down (M6 car, stock power). But if it’s not enough to keep temps down, I’m curious what the next steps could be. Aftermarket main heat exchanger? Although it seems the jury is out on whether they actually do anything above and beyond OEM. The gt4.r has a solid splitter, and seems to have relocated the cooler to the rear with some fans as well. Has anyone done something similar in the street car (to specifically address transmission cooling as opposed to oil temps)? Thanks
