Now you know exactly why when people ask what sort of preparation they should do before going to a track day / HPDE, one of the very first things they get told is to upgrade at least the brake fluid with one of the better DOT4 fluids. Followed by higher temperature capable pads. For fluids, that means ATE200, Motul RBF600, Castrol SRF in order of increasing price and periodic maintenance requirements. There are others, those are just the ones I know of offhand.


FWIW, if you've never done a brake job on this car, chances are that the fluid wouldn't have even met DOT3 specs . . . it'll have way more moisture content and a much lower boiling point.
