Looks like GM doesn't want to wait the full cycle to allow a new car to be built. They have identified two dealers that have incoming cars from the factory that match my specs to replace my car (I guess my combo isn't easy to find), so they are new and supposedly will not hit the dealer lot for general car buyers to drive.
It took them awhile to unwind my loan, so now that they have completed that, it's a matter of time for my new unknown VIN car to arrive.
