Many will tell you they drain at 500 miles, etc, but honestly, that is wasting the oil and time. Nothing wrong doing that if you want some sort of piece of mind based on what used to be required when fuel was dirtier, engine builds were sloppier, etc.

I would follow the maintenance minder and schedule in your manual. This is my second C7 and I follow the guide and have not had any issues.

Do what you feel is best for your own piece of mind but I can assure you there is nothing wrong with waiting until your car tells you it needs changed and/or following the maintenance schedule in the manual.
