Eh, all that matters is how OP thinks it looks. Some people just love to rub on their car. I really don't think that 10 coats should be the limit. If OP wants to keep that perfect all over wax, he probably does need to wax it once a week, depending on the environment.
I always felt that my nightfall grey metallic looked best with 3M Synthetic Wax. But I have a coating on mine now, because I was asked to test and review a coating.
