I knew lots of folks who swapped IROC bumpers and body kits on their V6 third gens years ago. It has always been done. There was an attempt to make purchasing 4th Gen SS hoods more difficult. As a result, there are lots of near exact copies of 4th Gen SS hoods available in the aftermarket. None of that ever bothered me.
