I traded in my 2012 ZL1 for a new 2016 SS. Technology is light years ahead on the new car. ZL1 was a black and white television and the new SS is a 50 inch plasma. As far as quickness, I really can't say I notice much of a difference. I do know I'm getting much better fuel economy with the new automatic transmission. The only thing I do miss is the exhaust and the carbon fiber hood vent the ZL1 had. The wider tires and ground effects made the ZL1 look like a real beast and it was, but the new SS is almost hiding what it has under the hood. The ZL1 was in your face muscle, looks wise. The SS is tame looking till you step on the gas. The ZL1 got a lot of attention from those who knew what it was, though the average person just thought it was another Camaro, nothing special.
