Retired employees can get it too. They have to request an authorization number for you. They are given a set number they can use per year, like 6. Not sure if that varies based on employment status or not. I do know they have to be employed by GM for so many years as well. Don't remember how many but I want to say 5. If I'm not mistaken, dealers don't have to participate, so that could be an issue on a high demand vehicle.
