I suspect the great majority of the October 5 week builds are the V6 versions Chevy already announced. These would be built in addition to allocations and delivered to dealers with the dealer having no choice as to color or transmission. That would leave a few slots for V8 TRE and SRE order. Chevy did the same with the intro of the Gen5.
So, based on my time table, these and the TRE and SRE orders should be starting to show up around All Saints Day, whenever that is.
Also, some of the early V8 builds will be fleet orders for rental companies. At least that is what happened with initial Gen5 production and I see no reason that will be changed for Gen6.
