Like ground hog said, not just the weight. The real reason I threw that theory out there is I would assume when they made the Alpha CTS, that they planned on not only Camaro going on it, but also the CTS-Vsport and eventually a new CTS V. I would assume they would know where the car may need to be beefed up and also handle higher power and punishment. I would assume that R&D would trickle down into the Camaro alpha and boom there is the camaro on same wheelbase as CTS.
Annnnnd I could completely wrong and so far off base so someone smarter than me please chime in if I am way off lol
