Just to clarify some facts concerning the end of F-car production as of 2002:

From the book "Camaro Forty Years" (page 326)

Chevrolet wisely invested what little money was available on improving performance; if these were to be the last of the Camaro's, they'd damned sure were going to be the fastest. Because the decision had been made to end F-body production, GM ceased replacing workers at the Ste. Theresa production facility. By 2002 the plant had lost so many workers through attrition that it couldn't fill all it's orders for 2002-model F-cars.
