If it does it again do NOT turn off the car. Go to local auto parts store and see if they can pull a code. Sometimes the system will hold a code or let you read last code thrown. Not always though.

Didn’t happen on the way home. I’ve had the CEL come on before on another car I had (only to find out it was a misfire or loose gas cap) and go off after a few start/stop cycles but this was the first time I’ve seen it flash for a while then go off. The rough idle after the start leads me to believe there were some misfires that was clearable or something.
I’d been considering a code reader just because. Open to suggestions.
