It's not a Miata, but the Camaro handles just fine. Moderate body roll and .9 G in standard SS trim is up there in some very fine company. It's achilles' heel is a tendancy to understeer that the 2012 FE4 suspension fixed a bit.
Naturally it can and will get better with the next generation, but I think you're grossly under-representing the car's ability as it is.
