This makes perfect sense... leave it on auto. DRLs always on unless the headlights come on (DRLs go off). One or the other will be on so long as your switch is set to Auto.

I guess the question is, does RIV pass a car that requires the driver to "think" and have some input as to whether lights are on or not?
