I don't think that analogy has necessarily held true for the entire Camaro/Corvette history. I, mean, sure, back in the SCCA days, but since then, have the two ever really had the same engine? Personally, I'm still hoping GM has a few more tricks hidden up their sleeve and they end up giving the 6th gen Z/28 (assuming there is one) the same kind of treatment they gave the C5 Z06. That is, a naturally aspirated, high output version of the LT1 (an LT6, if you will).
