I was really hoping a cam wasn't in the equation; i just don't understand all these 550+ rwhp builds on here without cams and similar set ups as what i have... makes me wonder how many of them are honest or what the deal is...

All dynos read different, also the L99 will show lower numbers do to drivetrain loss as I'm sure you're aware of. Lastly people on 93+ octane can run higher due to less timing pulled. In California there are some big name shops that can give you a no BS answer and quick turnaround.
