yup. I am all about the V8. Love the sound and power. But from what I have read these guys are trying to trim the fat and get the Camaro to be exactly what you described. Which is exactly what the Gen1s were aimed at for the time.
I am not thrilled about it, but that combination can be super-potent and it looks like GM is taking that direction in general.
