Just remember, the first half of the track you want to shift for peak torque the second half of the track shift for peak horsepower. torque gets you out of the hole and horsepower gets you down the track faster. What this means is sometimes short shifting 1-2 and 2-3 will help you out. I shaved .1 to .2 off my time by doing this running the same tire you are just taller.
