You see a lot of Z28s because they were the SSs of the 4th gen. They were nothing special. Yes I own one and accept what they are. Seems like you have them made out to be something they aren't.
The Camaro isn't going to live or die off the Z/28, just like the ZL1. It has the V6 SS to support it. I bet they sell every Z/28 they build.
You're waiting for something that will never come because even you don't know what you want in the car.
