I did exactly this on my 1SS...3 coats, stickers and all. It looks amazing. Its not hard at all, but takes of time. Don't expect to do this in an hour or two. Between setup, cleaning, taping off, painting you'll be looking at 3- 6 hours (depending on breaks and how fast you go)....at least that's my opinion.

An easier route might be doing the same, but with good caliper spray paint, but you'll want to tape off and cover a LOT more.
