I think they need to worry, but I don't think a person who was legitimately looking at an M4 will buy a Camaro or Mustang. A few, sure, but the ATS-v may take a few sales. And a few looking at the ATS-V may be swayed to get into a Camaro.

Brand image is big with people and while they may take a small step away I doubt many will jump from a performance BMW to a Camaro. People are getting tired of German reliability, cost, maintenance (and maintenance cost) and just that crowd all together though.

Unfortunately Camaro's are looked at as redneck cars, but perhaps the gen6 will change that a little. Mustangs are also looked at as teenager cars and Dodge's have their own negative stigma. Is what it is.
