The oil pressure in the 462 that I built myself is about 25 psi hot, idling, in an engine known for oiling problems on the 'far side' of the oil galley. I run 10w40 full synthetic in that engine- not just a grade that covers the 10w range.

I see no problems with that psi and I do not fear an oiling issue in that engine; I did however go with longer pump gears and a re-designed timing cover (which houses my oil pump) for the sake of durability. I could crank up my pressure to 50 psi at idle hot if I wanted to. I don't. Consider that the 'low pressure' light, stock, came on at 8 psi. I'd like to say 'normal' was as low as 12 psi back then.

Also consider that my 25 psi is on a mechanical gauge and the 5Gen uses an electric gauge.
