I am sorry to say it can take three hours. I buy two new cars or trucks each year and once you settle on a price it can be another two hours; time to prep car, run credit and get paperwork in order. Many times (especially on a Saturday) all delivery time slots are filled. Not to mention, the sales exec is still trying to sell cars when we want our delivered.
Over the years, once I sign a "prep sheet" with the deal listed, I will ask the Dealer to buy my Wife and I lunch at a nearby restaurant and they do it.
