I actually wasn't even talking about the car so much as the GM that produced/produces them. The
General Motors Corporation that produced the '67-'02 Camaro does not exist as of spring 2009. A completely different organization by the name of
General Motors Company sprang into being in mid 2009 and began production of THEIR Camaro soon there after.
So, by the facts at hand, the currently produced Camaro is actually at best an all new company's 1st gen spiritual successor to the original 4 generations of a different organization's Camaro, rather than a direct successor.
