actually the first two Bumblebees were GTOs with composite bodies on them - both were used in the movie - the wheels were actually 'wheel covers' with fake discs behind them. The 'foam' that you refer to was made from a foam that was used for the unveil of the Camaro Concept. The unveil car was a running vehicle (still exists in the Heritage collection) - there was a Red Foam made - and then later a Bumblebee foam.......

Many concept cars are just that - wood and clay and foam - with a finish on the outside --
