It's pretty much just a sensor, a fuel line with fitting, and then an electical connector to the sensor with some wiring for power, ground, and an ECU pin.
It can be made at home if you wish for less money. Afterall, we make them by hand ourselves and then ship them out at a profit ;-). It just depends on what you feel capable of doing on your own versus the convenience of buying it pre-made.
