I thought I heard that the 10 speed doesn't physically fit in the transaxle space of the C7. Just like how the 7 speed doesn't fit into the Camaro.
And the final drive doesn't have anything to do with top speed. At 6300 rpm (peak power) with 335/25/R20 tires, 0.65:1 ratio in 8th gear, and a 2.41:1 axle ratio the top speed is ... 318 mph. So top speed is aero limited not gear limited.
