No OEM is ultra-committed to supplying the lightest possible wheel other than Ford using those crazy carbon fiber ones and maybe some more exotic cars. They have bean counters to consider so they probably chose the wheels based on a whole bunch of factors with weight being one of many. I never assumed the 1LE wheels would be super light. GM isn't gonna commit money to ultra light racing wheels. I would however be surprised if they weigh more than the MRR replicas since they're, supposedly, forged wheels.
