When you floor the vehicle the ECU properly increases fuel injector pulse width to WOT (wide open throttle)parameters.
That means they are dumping as much fuel as they possibly can.
Full-rich condition.
This gives horsepower, but the large amounts of fuel also cools the pistons and cylinders.
Without all that rich fuel mixture, no engine would last long.
