Tesla stock is off by 30% this year because of falling oil prices. I would not say we are moving away from internal combustion as fast as technology allows but as fast as governmental forces push us. The hybrids and electrics are no savior for the environment with their 500 pounds of hazardous waste per vehicle. Hybrids and electrics are showing their own issues over time and if the government stops subsidizing them and they have to compete on their own merit, not a lot will get sold. Show me one that can haul a load of plywood or a pallet of bricks. It's all up in the air at this point. Fossil fuel will be around for a long time, but how long it will take for cost effective alternatives to show up nobody knows. For me, the reality is that at this time, there are none.
