Best plan is to take it to a shop , like mine that specializes in high performance cars that can diagnose the problem and come up with a proper fix , not just a band aide .

there are no I/M flags to be passed on an obd 1 vehicle. its a 2 speed idle test.
But ya he's right, take it to a shop. Preferably one that knows the new program rules.
