I think he nailed the problem, there is no "showmanship". Bring back the long smokey burnouts, when was the last time you saw a wheel stand? How about some rivalry.... Chevrolet vs Ford....Pedregone vs Force....Snake and Mongoose... |
Jon Asher has been following drag racing for a very long time. He's only scratching the surface, but he's certainly on the right track.
BTW, one of the fiercest genuine rivalries was between Al Hofmann and John Force, when both were supported by Pontiac.
