So I was reading this and my first thought was......who gives a crap about MPG. Then I thought, it matters to some. And maybe the gain does come from the smaller wheel, sure. Honestly, I bought my SS two years ago, and fortunately, have never thought once about MPG. I am impressed with how GM has produced a Hot Rod that does very well with today's gas prices. I guess I am such a gear head, from age sixteen with a 70 Chevelle, I spent every dime on gas............because I couldn't keep my foot off the floor. Now, 42, nothing has changed. I drive my ride everyday, like it was no tomorrow. I mean, I get it, for those guys crunching the numbers. But for me, I tach it in every gear, burn it when there are no cops in sight, and roll it on the interstate past all those ponies who wish they had a dad who loved a Chevy!
