For the price and ease, it should basically be every few years after the first two dump and fills, why should the rear end be treated like the red headed step child? I Liken it to doing wrist curls with a 50 pound weight, lubrication is important. But hell I’m just a dumb welder that has to prove all the engineers wrong when they tell me it’s possible on paper.
