Of course it does count, sorry if I sounded dismissive of that. It's just that something more specific would be more helpful, say, a top banner or at least a sticky in each forum along the lines of "
hey everyone, sorry about these intermittent periods of unavailability; we don't yet know why it's happening, our current theory is an issue with DNS/database engine/middleware/forum engine/etc., please be patient and tolerate these outages for a little longer while we're working on a resolution".
That way whenever the forum is available, people would know that work is being done to address the root cause, not just that you guys are aware of the problem, which is kind of obvious, given the forum is inaccessible for long periods.
Again, thank you for all the work you mods and the forum owner do behind the scene, we definitely appreciate this forum and worry about it, as you can see
