In general, if you're unsure, get the ZL1.

I was fairly sure I wanted a ZL1 when I walked onto the lot, but needed (and was able to) test drive a ZLE to be positive.

A ten minute test drive on our cold, neglected, underfunded roadways was all it took to make up my mind.
