It's your money to spend how you want, but for me I wouldn't spend that kind of money for brakes on a daily driver. The replacement cost when you do need to replace them is insane. The ZL1 brakes will cost significantly less to replace eventually.
If this wasn't a daily driver I'd still think it was overkill, but technically so are large cams and superchargers on V8 street only cars.
