I hear that. Even though it has happened around 20 times (10500 miles), I have only actually had to pull over twice. Most the time I can just shut it off for a second at a stoplight. The worst part...

Will tune in. mine is not lowered, but has intermittant "service power steering" issues. They checked the connections, but it did not work. I am living with it for now.
