Random thought but, since these cars have seat position memory, what about using one of those remote relays on the seat power? You could adjust the seat all the way forward and the seat back forward...

Manual guys could interrupt the clutch pedal lockout switch though it would send a notice on the dash to push in the clutch. Long gone are the days of using the cigarette lighter rewired to ground...
